Review: Woodford Reserve Double Oaked

This is a great bourbon for those looking for something rich and complex without the high proof. An innovative approach to twice-barreled bourbon creates the rich and colorful flavor of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. The cherry sweetness dominates the entire experience, and some may find it a bit cloying with so much sweetness, so its best treated like a dessert bourbon. Uniquely matured in separate, charred oak barrels – the second barrel deeply toasted before a light charring – extracts additional amounts of soft, sweet oak character..
